Bridal Friday - Discovering Consignment Bridal Gowns

We love it when fashion mags suddenly catch on to the fabulous-ness of Pre-owned or Consignment items.

This week's sample comes to us from InStyle Weddings. In their 'Gown Shopping 101' article, InStyle Weddings suggests:

Buy Pre-Owned At local consignment shops... you can find gently used designer dresses for less than a new no-name gown.

And we have to agree :)

Bridal Friday - Ivanka Trump's Grace Kelly Inspired Gown

This past weekend, the gorgeous Ivanka Trump wed Jared Kushner at, where else, a Trump property, the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, NJ. And while we wish the happy couple much wedded bliss, we were far more fascinated by Ms. Trump's custom Vera Wang bridal gown than the details of her wedding.

Inspired by Grace Kelly's wedding dress, Ms. Trump's gown was quite modest and featured beautiful lace, elbow-length sleeves (a requirement for her Orthodox ceremony).

Now most of us cannot have custom-made bridal gown (even though we might want one). But that does not mean we cannot re-create her look... A simple A-line gown updated with a floor-length lace jacket would make a stunning re-creation of the lace overlay and lace sleeves. (Did you know they make lace jackets?)

Wednesday Evening Hours are Back

The start of fall can mean only one thing -- evening hours are back at The Resale Boutique.

Those of you otherwise occupied during our normal shop hours (10am-4pm Mon-Sat) now have an opportunity to drop in after work. TRB stay open until 7pm on Wednesday for shopping (or consigning).

Bridal Friday

You may have dreamed about the perfect dress... but have you put any thought into the shape of the dress? Different shapes look better on different body types. For example, a ball gown skirt can create a small waist while camoflaguing larger hips, but that same ball gown skirt can look disproportionate on a small, petite woman. Outfit of the Week

Most of us have worn suits for interviews or a special event, but we tend to wear separates on a daily basis.  So the suits just hang in the back of the closet.  This week's Outfit(s) of the Week are designed to help you get more miles out of that suit by breaking it up into separates.
