Shopper Story: Transitioning your Student Wardrobe to a Professional One

My friend LP, a graduate student, is participating in a 2-week policy program in Washington DC. She was excited about the program but concerned about 'professional-izing' her current jean/t-shirt/sweater warerobe for conservative, suit-oriented WDC. She already has a dark grey "interview" suit, but wanted at least one more suit plus some non-t-shirt tops.

The Resale Boutique started building LP's 'professional-ized' warerobe with a black Via Spiga pants suit for $49.00.

Spring Has Sprung - Flats, flats, flats

Prom, Prom, Prom

This week's featured prom gown is a nod to all those non-traditional prom girls - someone looking for something a bit more trendy than the standard ballgown or key-holed silk sheath...

A strapless cocktail length gown. Modern black lace over champagne satin with plenty of black tulle fluffing the A-line skirt.

Bridal Friday - Going Nautical

Several spring fashions this year have a nautical inspriation (e.g. tops in horizontal navy & white stripes anyone, searsucker everything).

Translating that trend to your wedding plans would be very easy. We can picture it now:

Location: beach, boathouse, or boardwalk

Colors: any variety of blues and khakis

Graphic Floral Top #2 - a flowy chifon tank (fully lined) from eei. Black with graphic floral pattern on bottom half. Woven trim along straps and scoop neck. This top will provide plenty of tummy coverage for those of us who carry a little extra around the middle. Size S/M.
